Foot and Ankle Institute of Iowa is now accepting appointments for Erchonia’s Lunula Laser® to target onychomycosis, also known as toenail fungus. Lunula Laser® is an FDA-cleared, non-invasive laser treatment designed to target fungus and support new, clearer nail growth.
Lunula Laser® is a non-thermal, FDA-Approved, non-invasive, pain-free procedure. The treatment is designed to help patients with toenail fungus without the side effects, smoke plumes, or discomfort associated with some hot laser treatments.
How does Lunula Laser® work?
Lunula Laser® uses low-level laser light to target toenail fungus. The treatment is non-thermal, which means it does not rely on heat to treat the nail.
The laser targets fungus in and beneath the toenail while supporting the body’s natural healing response. Over time, patients may see new clear nail growth as the affected nail grows out.
